Cameroon will lose its preferred trade status under the US African growth and opportunity acts on January 1st fallowing a US decision to revoke it's status because of its human rights violation .The October decision was confirmed through a presidential proclamation last week. Despite intensive engagement between the US and the Cameroon government , Cameroon has failed to address concerns regarding presidential human rights violation being committed by Cameroonians security forces ad the previous white house statement said this violation include extrajudicial killing , arbitrary and unlawful detentions and torture.
